I am impressed, it is not easy to relocate the epx packhailrazer wrote:I have used lot's of different epoxies and they all did what you are describing. That's why I went with a more expensive one that is actually made to bond to plastic. It sands super smooth and feathers out perfectly.
Now for an update. I decided to do the expansion pack relocation. It was a big fat pain in the butt. 36 tiny wires. Each one had to be stripped on both ends while being held with tweezers. Then I had to solder them using tweezers and a lighted magnifying glass.
Got the whole thing done, triple checked everything, turned it on, .......... and NOTHING....
Checked for shorts and found none. Was about to give up and I found it, one tiny loose wire.
Soldered it back on and perfection.
Now if anybody says anything except words of awe and praise for my work, I will hunt them down and beat them with a dead cold blooded penguin.
Stayed tuned for more.................When I can actually see again.

Lookin' good!
Why are the traces near the CPU and RCP so weird looking though?

Looks like the ram sinks will work out well, then. I think I will try them when I resume my n64 portable. What are you using to hold them on? I used hot glue. (Noobish, but it kept the system cool enough and I though it looked cool.)
If you're getting 404'd when trying to use the links in stickies, try this tutorial to find that juicy info.

Long as it holds, awesome. Which kind? The stuff that takes a day to set, or the 30-second stuff?

The 30 second stuff. It set remarkably fast and it has a 350 degree melting point so I'm not worried about it failingZeturi wrote:Long as it holds, awesome. Which kind? The stuff that takes a day to set, or the 30-second stuff?

1. Because the cart is going to be sitting back on the board about 1" further than a 90 degree would have got me.mako321 wrote:1. why didn't you just do a 90 degree cart slot relocation from the front?

Looks good, Hailrazer! You should try to make a Sega Saturn laptop.
