It's 100% totally and completely done! I fixed the audio - turns out the right channel was connected to ground for some reason, and that was what caused the problems.

Pictures soon, I promise!

Edit: Pictures have been posted in the News forum here.

So i'm new here and working on my first portable, and you seem to be the one with the most experience. i'm modeling my snesp after what you've done here, and filling in the blanks with the chapters from the book on extremetech.com but i have a question. in the book it says to add a new 7805 regulator and heat sink, but from the pictures it looks like you just wired power directly to the board. is this normal? or is it just because of the type of batteries, and inclusion of a pcb board into this one?

Basically, you have a few options for this. Since I used a PSOne LCD screen, I used one of the two 7805 regulators found on the back of the screen's circuit board. Had I used a different type of screen I might not have been able to do that and would therefore need a separate 7805 to get the voltage I needed for the SNES. So no, I didn't wire power directly to the SNES's board - I wired power from the batteries to the screen, and from the screen's onboard 7805 to the SNES. Make sense?

So if i understand correctly you still just follow the instructions in the book, but rather than install a new regulator, you just wire to the same legs on the screen. makes sense. thanks.
