I got like 3 PS1 Controllers at home.
My cousin stepped on one and broke one analog stick.
Anything I cool I could do with the controller (other than playing games with it.)
Looking for a project!

I say fill it with explosives and destroy it. That can be fun. I did that to a GBA when the screen cracked.

Solder off the analog sticks, and check if the controller still workd (d-pad wise)

if it still works (doesn't move left all the time (or right)):
save the circuit board and chip on it. Map the pins of the chip to the buttons.

Make it a mini circuit with one side to the connector cable, and a row of pinheaders on the other side, for connecting tact switches.

I saved about 4 controllers doing this:

2 cracked boards came from ddr-mat's (don't stomp on the control box hanging on one side of the mat, oopsy), and cousin (oopsy again, see 1)

Some 3rd party (Wu tang, taste the pain controllers) just broke for no reason. These were crappy to start with. Saved the circuit board with glob-top.

I usually come up with mini controller modules of 5 by 5 centimeters.
Add some hot glue and there even waterproof.
