USPS domestic shipping isnt the greatest about updating but it will show you when the shipper has printed a lable (electronic notification), when the package arrives at the post office, when it passes thru sorting facilities and so on. its less than accurate on occasion tho there have been times when i got a package and the tracking said it hadnt even arrived at my post office yet lol

Actually, if you want the tracking to be a little better, you can send it registered for an additional $11.50 fee. Depending on the country, the tracking can be just as good as priority. It's also crazy secure (or at least it is before it leaves the US) You just have to ask for a registered form at the post office, fill it out, and use only paper tape to seal the package (they have it available for you to use for free at the post office).marshallh wrote:Average for australia shipping seems to be ~3-4 weeks. That tracking sucks, but you have to pay $40 instead of $14 to get anything better.
With First Class Mail International, that one update saying that the package was accepted is usually all that you'll get (unless you pay for registered).
I'm thinking of ordering one of these in a few weeks, after I have a little more money saved up.

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
so it arrived
tried two different SD cards one 1gb and one 8gb, both work on every other device i have tried. both formatted to fat32 and have the menu.bin on the root of the sd.
booting up n64 shows black screen with loading thing, then goes black...
if no mmc in, then that no card detected screen comes up ok.
edit, tried compact flash card, same issue...
how lame.
double edit,
earlier menu revisions work. working with 1.00 havent tried any others.
obv a tech issue then
triple edit, only 1.01 and 1.06 dont work

Re: Cart emulator progress thread

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
Ah ok. I remember reading it needed to be formatted at FAT16, but that must have been KRIKzz's Flashcart
Re: Cart emulator progress thread
When was your parcel shipped blaze?
Re: Cart emulator progress thread
Is video playback a future possibility? I have no idea if the n64 could handle that, but it'd be pretty neat if it could.

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
10min animated short encoded for N64
http://retroactive.be/the_modifyers.z64" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Its about maxed out playing that video. I bet you could squeeze about 2x more efficiency out of it but I'm not the guy to do it. 12 hours to encode

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
Can somebody verify this? I noticed that in Mario Kart 64, the gameplay speed during battle, at least in the Big Donut stage is noticeably lower. I think it's also the case in the Skycrapper.
