Hello, i am making a wii laptop and im now designing a battery and i need to know the mAh of a wii (with sensor bar) needed for it to turn on and load a disc. Also, I need to know how close i can get with 8 eveready brand rechargable AA batteries. Lastly, I would like to know what to use to boost it up.

You are "designing" a battery?

On a side note, the signature is brilliant. :)

No AA's. That'll probably give you, what, 10 minutes of power?

And it'll way a ton.

mAh is Like capacity
mA is current draw

the D/c Voltage is 12 and the wattage is 45 (according to the bottom of the wii) so i'd imagine about 3.75A would be the current draw for only the Wii.

also like what ProgMetalMan said, AAs will not give you much time at all.

I'm still kinda new to modding as well but i *think* this is right.

Well, according to studies, the Wii draws 18.4W at its peak, an average of 17.8W, and a minimum of 16.8W. It's probably rated for 45W just in case it's running under a huge load.

Thanks for the info, I guess I was quite a bit off. My goal is to have a wii that will play a game (also a sensor bar) for about an hour. I guess I will have to try something else.
