After several months of reading forums and doing research I decided to begin a xbox portable. My first attempt was never posted because I was using the older style of xbox and from the very start I had problems with it. The case was attempted out of a briefcase that I had acquired. I did not have the proper tools and it turned out horrible. For this project I did more reading and research (watching vids, etc). I decided I wanted to make a second attempt. This time I played it smart I now have various tools that I will need as well as access to any tools that I do not have. For the case I decided it was beyond my skill so I commissioned an individual to make the case for me. It doesn't show in these pictures but I will have a compartment for a wireless controller, a external harddrive and maybe a little more room for a game or two.

Re: Xbox slim portable WIP
I'm using a 19" led lcd tv instead of using a computer montior. Several of my friends said I was crazy but hey to me it is a lot easier. There really isn't much to break down as you will be able to see the boards for the tv are in two different areas. It has small built in speakers which will be easy to extend to any length I need them.

- Here is the power board removed from the back of the tv. It will be sent to be worked on with my case

- There were several things that were too tall for my liking (componet connections, vga connection, etc... everything but the hdmi connections were cut off as it will be hdmi only). I left some composit connections on the side just in case.

I'm not exactly sure how the case is being made. I'm having someone comission it for me. Those pictures are the designs of the case for me to get an idea of what it will look like. We are both in contact with each other, he helps me a lot with ideas to better something that I come up with or listen to my ideas. As soon as he would like me to mention his name, I would recommend him to anyone.

To make things so much easier on myself I have uploaded all images of my project thus far to my facebook account. If you can go on there just search me hottgy252000@yahoo.com I'm the only one that pops up. I have also added text to the pictures so you can get kind of an idea as to whats going on.
