For the multi console laptop you could make custom controllers that run with usb. Another thing you could do is make it like xbox controllers with that plug at the end which can be adapted to each different type of controller instead of having one controller with like 5 wires just have the controller and 5 adapters one for each console.

@ #2, he already said he wasn't going to do any sort of "multi-system in one" sort of deal.

This could be a portable based on a tank design, not necessarily metal but metal looking material with various Nuts and bolts exposed. The Screen in the middle could have a flip top or slide up action to reveal the screen. This could be something as simple as an NES system.
I wish I had a working camera right now, but I built this a while ago as my laptop.
  • the keyboard came from a Compaq Armada 200 that was literally frozen to pieces
  • the motherboard from an HP Evo 2100 that 'lost' its screen and keyboard when I started parting it off
  • the screen from an IBM 52 Thinkpad that had the misfortune of a 'universal' 18.5 V power supply (many IBM's take 14.5 V)
  • the frame is made from the steel pannels cut out of an old desktop and bolted together with exposed 6mm bolts.
Very heavy and full of sharp edges, caught fire once, and is definitely mine. If I could find a replacement ATI chip (intelacing bug/fire) I'd still carry it with me- it was like a free pass at technical interviews and tradeshows.
