Yours would be cooler.

I suppose so. I would rather have an SNES themed DSi, though.

Well this will be my last semi off topic post.
Maybe we can work out a Deal, My Birthdays coming up so I'll have so money.

Wow, that's actually pretty cool. Any idea how well it plays GBA games (as in emulation problems etc.)?palmertech wrote:Oh, I could. Or just buy one of these.

Yeah, I have one. It is pretty close to perfect, and though the LCD is not perfect, it is far, far better than the stock GBA SP LCD.

Really? Even better then the SP+? Wow, I might just have to give this a try. All I want plus 2 gigs of memory. Sometimes it's the solution you never thought of that turns out the be even better. Thanks for the suggestion. I had almost lost all hope.palmertech wrote:Yeah, I have one. Yeah, oftentimes the best answer to a question is to tell them they are asking the wrong question to start.
I would put it on par with the SP+. One note: The buttons on mine felt weird, but you can just swap in an original GBA rubber button membrane, and it feels perfect.

I imagine this is possible, but could I just transplant all the guts into a real GBA shell?palmertech wrote:Yeah, oftentimes the best answer to a question is to tell them they are asking the wrong question to start.

Yeah, the shell is just a replacement GBA shell. You will have to do some trimming, but it will fit fine.

I'm looking to do something exactly like this! You know, putting an SP screen into a GBA shell, the only problem is that I have no electronics/engineering knowledge .

So it looks like the only real solution at this point is buying the one from Deal Extreme and putting the real GBA buttons into it. Anyone know how well it emulates? That's my one fear.
