You should do an overclocking mod with a switch and all that jazz, too! I mean, you're doing all this other stuff, may as well throw in that extra frill. Either way, looks really great. Can't wait to see it finished.

You cannot overclock the GP2X like a gameboy, it is software based. Almost all games/emulators allow you to set a clock speed, with the defualt being 200mhz, and while most units can overclock to about 250mhz, the rare unit (Like mine) can hit speeds of 290mhz! :D So a switch, even if it was possible, it not needed. In fact, Gmenu2X (A replacement front-end) allows you to set an overclocked speed for ALL apps, it is awesome.

small update! got some of the wiring done woo! 34 gauge enamel wire is a pain but the headphone jack is relocated now and the USB hub is almost ready to be wired up! all thats left is making the svideo dongle and testing the usb hub and headphone jacks and then wiring the batteries once i get them. had to revise the plans for that slightly but as soon as i figure out what batteries to use we should be well on the way to getting this badboy finished! got a bit of wetsanding done on the front of the case the other day and i think it really only needs about one more coat of primer before the front half of the shell is ready for paint! the back half is going to take a bit more work because i still have to build the battery portion and finish up the usb hub section but its getting close to done folks! should be ready to ship for paint by the end of the month if not sooner!

nevermind on the video, hit a snag with the USB somewhere (bad connection or needs more filtering, will have to experiment more) but i did get a couple of pictures and did some "playtesting" the dpad (and new dpad button) work pretty damn good even in a game like vektar (geometry wars knockoff lol)
