I've read that the Galaga PCB pinouts are the same as that of Namco Dig-Dug, but howabout the version licensed by Atari in America?

I don't know, I wonder if the guys who worked on MAME would know? Otherwise there are some databases on line which have the manuals for arcade games, and they usually include pinouts and sometimes even full circuit diagrams on some of the older ones.
Emulation isn't accurate. There is no substitute for real hardware!
