Well today I had an awesome, yet, impossible idea: Build a Genesis/CD/32X/Master System/Game Gear portable!!!

Now here are the problems with this:

I have no experience with this.

The max power consumption will be 45W.

The amount of room that could take up.

And lastly, the fact no one's done it before.

Honestly such a portable (errr... rather laptop, gl holding all of that in your hands) while freaking awesome is kind of stupid to even attempt.
Also aside from a laptop, what kind of battery can output 45W?

take the gamegear out add a saturn and DC :P
It is possible but you could only have 1 system run at a time.
Gamegear could work but to much work you get it to have video out.

Get a CDX/Multi Mega. It's a self-contained Genesis and Sega CD in a case the size of a fat Discman, and it's compatible with the 32x. (Sega initially said it was, then redacted that statement, but the combination does work fine. I guess they just never got FCC approval for that combo.) That will get you Genesis, Sega CD, and 32x games. I don't know if it's compatible with the Power Base Converter, but if it is that will get you Master System games. I think the Game Gear would have to be completely separate.

A "portable" this complicated would take a ton of battery power to run and be the size of a small cow. You might be better off with a netbook, since you want to do so much.

That was the plan, aside from the saturn and DC of course. Also that 45W max consumption is w/ the max of the combined genny, cd, and 32x.

Maybe so, but there's just something about physical cartridges, and the sound on an M1 Genny is just awesome, also the reason I wanted a seperate MS was for FM, but that can be modded into the genny.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, there was going to be model 1 everything.
