Great job. :)

What batteries / voltage/ mAh ?

And did you have to pay retail for the sundriver or did you find one on sale ?

What would you estimate the whole thing cost ?

Thanks! :D

The batteries are 14.8v 5.2Ah Li-ion Rechargeable(Cylindrical cells), and the battery life is 3 hours. For comparison, I used a 11.1v 6.4Ah Li-ion pack in my GCp, and only got two hours.

I think I found a good price on it, $48 for a combo deal: Sundriver, mini usb cable, a triwing screwdriver, a Philips head screwdriver and a wireless sensor bar. I got the HDD on newegg somewhere, I think it was $50. Totally worth it though, the ability to carry around all my games and everything without the need for discs, plus the faster loading times makes it totally worth it, personally I would be willing to pay more, in my opinion it is a great investment for any Wii owner.

As far as an estimate for the cost, probably about $500.

In my honest opinion?
Incredibly worth it.

The Wii has so many options available for games, utilizing the sundriver, virtual console and emulators, you can play pretty much any nintendo game you want. Plus it has many other multimedia options available, there are several homebrew media players, plus the three hour battery life means you could watch an entire movie on battery power alone if you wanted to. In widescreen too. The other nice thing is that being a mainly 12v system, a simple car adapter is all I would need in order to use this thing during long car trips or on a train trip or something like that.

love the idea for the case! and its a really slick unit. buuuuut a little extra effort could have resulted in a cleaner looking case (evenly spaced vent holes, better looking hinges, maybe a little plastic filler and some sanding in places?) as usual my only complaint with your work is i think YOU CAN DO BETTER. spend a little more time and effort to make it look as well as it works and people will be willing to pay more money for your stuff :D
