the power button and the headphone jacks. :D
It's actually a madcatz universal screen.
Image
the universal av jacks :D
all it takes are the three av plug in things :D
Image

Now for the guts :P
the screen and motherboard
Image
the other boards, rechargeable batteries, etc. :D
Image
MIGHTY PUTTY! :D
All of the guts!
Image
It is weird because the screen says it takes 12 volts, but the rechargeable batteries I am usuing are only 7.2 volts???
Anyway...
IT WORKS!!!
Image
Image
YAY!!! Something that I modded finally works.

It has a battery indicator gauge to check how much battery life is left.
Im not the best with the dremel
Image
Image

Also, when you plug the screen in to charge, if the battery is red, that means that the batteries are charging, if the light is green, that means it is fully charged. :D

PICS OF IT WORKING

Wii!!!

PAPER MARIO!!!

ZELDA!!!

The camera doesn't capture the full quality of the screen, it's a better in person.
This picture of zelda above shows that the screen is completely portable exept for the three red, white, and yellow cords hanging at the bottom. :D
Luigi's Mansion!
Image

Luigi's Mansion didn't come out so well. :?

I don't know if I made this clear or not, but this screen is completely portable, it has batteries built in it.

I had a lot of fun with this project and it only took me like 2 hours to make and it was soooo worth it.
The batteries last about 4 and a half to 5 hours! :D :!: :!: :!:
This project also only cost me 30 bucks to make!
Screen: $20
Batteries: $10

The batteries came with the fuel gauge.

THAT IS ALL FOR NOW!!!

IWILL POST A VIDEO SOON!!!

THANK YOU ALL AND GOOD NIGHT!!! Just kidding.

That screen sure looks good on the Paper Mario shot, despite the camera quality. Nice work! I like the battery gauge/charging indicator.
This post brought to you by David Duchovny's glorious nipples.

Thanks Tibia! :D

The quality of the screen is really really good. The only thing is that if you turn the brightness up too high, the picture gets a little blury and makes it harder to read text. But besides that, I highly recomend buying one, you know, just to have around the house. I think the screen quality is better than the ps1 screen, thats my opinion, so dont go buy one and yell at me because you think the screen quality sucks. As soon as I get my Camera, I will make a youtube video and post some high def pics. :D I think my friend is giving my camera back to me this week or next week.

Your first portable! Dawww.... :P Actually, you took a screen, that was tethered to a wall, and ran it off batteries, making it portable. I think that counts...:P

Yeah, well eventually I'll make one.

But I have a problem.
For anyone who wants to help...

The screen still powers on and every thing and the sound works.

But the video stopped working :( :( :(

I checked over the board three times and still, I don't know the problem.

ANY HELP, PLEASE!!!

Your ribbon cable is probably loose. It might be sitting in, but not making contact.

Alternatively, your video jack might have come unsoldered.

The ribon cable is in there pretty tight and the video jack is soldered on there well, I don't know what to do.
