I started this some time ago and finally finished it. It is named the Sprocket64 (because I thought that would be a cool name when I started it. ) and it has a 7" widescreen, 3.5 hours of battery life, and full compatibility with all N64 games. The screen can switch from 4:3 to 16:9, so non-widescreen games aren't stretched. This one has an LOB64 port in it, as did my previous one, so you know what that means - LOB64 test! That video is at the bottom of this post. It also has daftmike's low-battery indicator. The LED's are in the power button, and it goes from white to red.
The case is made from pieces of plastic from an old printer/scanner. I cut them out, glued them together, and used bondo to fill in the edge gaps. Then, I sanded the edges round and painted it.
Low-battery and power button board:
Almost everything hooked up and mounted:
And, LOB64 video! The screen on my Retro64 is kind of dark, but the camera exaggerates it. There is quite a noticeable drop in brightness when splitting the video signal two ways, so maybe a video amp should be used for even two portables only. I am going to order a video amp and try some stuff out, and probably make a Klobio Box.
