how to make a hinge?

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

as stated in a thread in the screen-hacking forum, i want to make a laptop out of an old gameboy, but i dont know how to make the hinges to open the top(fixing them will be the next part :))
do you know how to? or is it already mentioned in a thread out here?

im guessing your after some mini friction hinges (hinges that stay where you put em ! Id get some small cabinet hinges, take out the rod in the middle an replace it with threaded rod, tighten nuts onto the end until it is a suitable stiffness and then seal the nuts with thread locker on one end and with double nuts on the other end ( so you can tighten it up as it loosens over time.
