Hello, I am new to the forums here, and I'm probably not the first person to ask, and I definitely won't be the last. I have been interested in constructing for myself an Xbox 360 laptop case based on Ben Heckendorn's.

I'm always about to go through with the project, but I need to know the actual dimensions for the case and all the other fancy shmancy pieces that must be fabricated. I apologize if this is in the wrong section of the forum, or if this is a matter that has been brought up before, but I'm extremely desperate for answers, and I will gladly accept any help I'm given.

Case design is in part 2. Don't worry about the dimensions Ben used - you may not be able to cram it that small. Prepare the system first - worry about the case later.

I think you have a lack of responses because, for a long time, people have been coming here and creating an account so they can ask about making an XBox 360 laptop. Nothing ever seems to come of it, and members are probably getting tired of telling people how hard a 360 laptop is. They see "XBox 360 laptop," and their eyes glaze over like so many doughnuts.

The truth is that it is probably the toughest portable project possible and can only be pulled off well by the best of the best. Don't let the lack of interest put you off to the project if you think you can do it.

If you surprise everyone and show us a system hacked apart and ready for casing, you will get a good deal more assistance from this forum.

By the way, it's nice to see well-written posts as you have, so you've got that going for you.

Yes, I do understand that everyone here must be tired of seeing the same topic being posted over and over, and for that I apologize. I would have never even considered posting the darn thing in the first place if I wasn't convinced I could do this project, though I most likely can't.
