I am once again offering my Nomad Screen and Battery Mod Service.
Here is the thread for the Mod's :

I can do this mod for $65 shipped to your door. You would be responsible for shipping the Nomad to me. For $65 I will do the mod and also install a new screen cover. The 3.5" screens I use fill the space entirely, but they do say AV1 briefly when first starting up.
I can also do the Battery mod for $60 shipped to your door. I won't need your Nomad for that mod. This includes 2500mAh batteries and a charger in the Nomad battery pak. The Nomad will last over 9 hours with the new screen and battery mod. Send me your Nomad battery pak for a $5 discount.
PM me for details or questions.

Re: Sega Nomad New Screen and New Batteries Mod Service
What's the approximate maximum size of LCD and driver board that would fit inside the Nomad?
I'm trying to find my own LCD/driver board on "Chinese eBay" (taobao) to do this mod myself.
I've found that they sell the LCD/driver board for these rearview monitors without the casing; I could get one for under $20 Canadian plus shipping and if it doesn't work as well as I hope, I could just re-purpose it.
There's this one, for example, that has a 75 by 60 by 8 mm screen and a 76.9 by 63.9 by 3.3 mm driver board. Of course, I wouldn't mind chipping away at the board a bit or moving things around if possible. (Those connectors have gotta go and I can move those capacitors.)
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a23 ... 5846675758" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And there's another couple, a bit more expensive:
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a23 ... 0587576868" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a23 ... 5538667926" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And about the battery, what kind of cells do you normally use?
Does the resolution of the replacement LCD really matter?
Thank you.
