Re: TGIMBOEJ - Post pictures here
Ok, As stated, I got the great magic box today!
There was a lot of good stuff in it.
Time for pics!
The stuff in it was a snes/n64/gcn rf cable, a white thick wire, a pc mobo, two crashed hard drives, an nes cartridge tray (I've been looking for on of these!), and a heavily mutilated vcr/dvd player mobo.
I will b e keeping the following items:
PC motherboard
harddrives
nes cart tray ( A while back I had an idea for one of these and thought "I'll bet Nevermind has one!" To my pleasant surprise there was one in the box)
And I'll be desoldering the tact switches from the vcr/dvd player mobo.
Now for the stuff I'm putting in.
There is the following I am putting in:
A dreamcast psu
a playstation ( the origional grey one) psu
a thin ribbon cable
a few plugs from various pc components
a few 13.5 mhz crystals (perfect for overclocking a gbc)
some NOAC buttons
the plastic film piece from a ps1 controller
a bit of IDE cable
the bottom half of some electronic thing that has a good battery pack on it.
some small battery powered motors
a cable of some sort.
Either tomorrow or monday, I will ship the box off to tibia.

Who put 2 crashed HDDs in there!? Are you retarded!? All of your personal information is on there. I've seen some pretty crazy crap, but the craziest has got to be when I saw some dude take all of his pictures off of a smoking hard drive. There are ways of getting your info off of that. I would smash them into little bits with a big hammer before your credit card number is stolen.

Re: TGIMBOEJ - Post pictures here
I put them in there (started the box, remember?). themadhacker is using them for the magnets. I got the drives off of ebay from a business that was selling a big lot of some working and non-working drives (none of the working ones were wiped; that's how I knew that it was some business selling them). And no, I'm not retarded.eurddrue wrote:Who put 2 crashed HDDs in there!? Are you retarded!? All of your personal information is on there. You can. That's the stuff that data recovery centers charge $1000s for.themadhacker wrote:I Crushed them into little bits when I recieved them. and inside I got......4 awesome super strong magnets!!!

And also the stuff that I charge a bargain of only $500 for to people.
Actually, closer to $200. Lots and lots of fun.

Re: TGIMBOEJ - Post pictures here
I just got the box from Themadhacker. Question for those participating: Would anyone mind if I took the liberty of desoldering all the caps, resistors, and other components from the dead VCR mobo and put them in a bag of their own? It would make the box far easier to pack, and we could fit more stuff in it.
Whatever the answer, I'll have pics up later this weekend and I'll be shipping it out Monday. Jleemeero, could you please PM me your shipping address when you get a chance?

Re: TGIMBOEJ - Post pictures here
Nah. I wouldn't mind.
I haven't been here in awhile, and looking back it's one of the worst ideas I ever had. I'm back and I'll be here for awhile, I was quite active 1 year ago and I hope to become that again.
Re: TGIMBOEJ - Post pictures here
Wow, seeing all that good stuff makes me wish I went "in". Oh well. Have fun guys!
Re: TGIMBOEJ - Post pictures here
I wouldn't mind, either. There's no point in leaving it intact in any case; it's not like someone on this list is going to say, "OMG it's a replacement motherboard for my receiver!"

I'm glad to hear you recieved it already. And about the VCR. I think putting all the parts in a bag and tossing the bare board is a good idea. I had a hard time fitting that thing in the box. I think that it was mainly the RF box sticking up on the rear of the board.

Yeah, that would help. I didn't really have any time to desolder anything other than the stuff that I already took off of it.themadhacker wrote:Tibia wrote:I just got the box from Themadhacker. Re: TGIMBOEJ - Post pictures here
Finally got pics. Here's the before and after pics of the DVD/VCR mobo:
I kept the RF box and some misc parts off it. I added some more caps, resistors, switches, etc. to the bag, as well as this stuff:
I'll be sending it off to jleemero tomorrow.
