Just how similar are they? I got one of these bad boys about a month ago as "non working", I ripped it apart and found the problem pretty quick (details and pictures here).
Now that it's fixed I want to take it a step further and switch the video to RGB or composite, cause RF is soooooooo bad.
I've been reading around the net and the mod doesn't seem overly difficult, but I need to know if the pin-outs are the same... I have lots of experience building circuits, but not much in figuring them out.
Does anyone have any insight into this matter? I can post pics of whatever anyone might need to see ... Just tell me.
Playing Tapeworm is just no fun when the flashing blocks are impossible to see against the RF noise!
Best regards,
JL

Re: Atari 2600 Clone: Coleco Gemini Video Question
They are exactly like atari 2600s or just very similar. The best video possible to get out of the 2600 is S-video. Converting it to RGB will probably make the image worse.
I have my new video mod done. You can download the schematic on this page
