any wire is fine. Try not to get too close to any chips with the soldering iron and try not to heat up the spots too long.

Some of the pictures are a bit blurry though. I found that taking pictures of mobos works best in the morning, when it's bright, near a window (or better yet: outside)

I love the look of black & white contrast. You could make the buttons white, or the back, or have the left side black with white controls and the right side white with black controls
