I checked, I am actually using normal battery's (normal as in, non-rechargeable). And I actually get 9 volts out of it, so that is fine too...
It's somewhere else that is busted, but have no clue as to where :/

Defective Atari Lynx (first model)
Hey guys, I recently found an old Atari Lynx, and thought it would be awesome to get that running again. Unfortunately it didnt turn on anymore, after checking it, I found the zener diode was busted. Re: First portable (SNES)
As I learned the hard way, when using soldering, make sure not to heat it to such an extent other things start melting
I'm in the progress of making a portable SNES too (my first portable too), but am taking it real slow. Good luck!

Re: SNES ext port removal
found the culprit.
I shouldnt have soldered on such a high heat, I melted one of the chips
I'll post a picture of it later...
I have already gotten myself a replacement SNES, so I can carry on, but it sucks that a good SNES has died due to my incompetence... oh well, lesson learnt.

SNES ext port removal
Hi guys! Here's my first post on the boards. I'm looking at making a SNES handheld out of my European SNES (first model), and have been removing things last night. After removing the ext port, my SNES no longer works... I see the power light turn on (stays on, so it's not a blown fuse I believe), I ...
