Re: Cart emulator progress thread
I've been wondering, if I tried to play say, a majoras mask rom through this, but on a system without an expansion pak, would it work? My guess would be no, but I was wondering what would happen if I tried. For all the N64 knows, a Majora's Mask ROM on the 64drive IS the cartridge that is in your N...

http://www.derp.figure10.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/bill_nye_expert.jpg As far as libraries go: There are libraries that are not at all hardware dependent (ex: LZO compression), some which are partially hardware/kernel/OS dependent (newlib), and some which are completely hardware dependent ( li...

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
It says that the ever drive requires a CIC chip from a cart. Can someone tell me what a CIC chip is? See the the back side of the cart? It is the bottom left chip with 8x8 pins and it says NINTENDO on it and CIC-NUS-6102. Marshalls does not require this. At least I think... He needs to p...

Re: Cart emulator progress thread
> What FPGA are you using? > Altera Cyclone II chip I think you answered your own question. As for the rest of your questions, marhallh didn't use eagle iirc, as it couldn't handle something as complex and dense as the 64drive. marshallh said which program he used in the other thread. I believe tha...

I think you can only add up individual cells that way, not entire battery packs.

Re: Regulator HELP! NOW! PLEASE!
You're screen probably just takes the 12V and steps it down with a 7805. More information, perhaps pictures, of the screen you are using would help the issue.

Re: Nintendo 64 Commission Progress (Pad64) 5/8/11 Update
The 12V line can be run at anything >= ~7.2V - whatever the minimum is to run a 7805. You don't need a step up.

Is that... feasable? And if it was, what says the one you put in will not be instantly broken by the same problem when you power it all up again?Bandrien wrote:should i replace the CPU?

Legal: I'll take medicine if the doctor says I absolutely need them. IIRC all I've only ever needed a prescription for shingles. Illegal: I've been on weed twice, didn't really enjoy it; It did not end up making me feel any better than how I would feel normally. I did mushrooms once, but by the time...

Re: Dr Neo, The Myth 64 cart (nintendo 64 flash cart)
Most ROM hacks will work, though those with customized geometry cannot be guaranteed to work. http://hcs64.com/missing_stars/run1/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Why are you saying that? Emulators do not emulate all errors that would show up on a real N64, and geometry conversion in...
