Re: Dreamcast BIOS chips
So whats the differences between the two chips that we get? An otherOS or a region free mod with different animation? You can flash Dreamshell or link83's hacked BIOS if you like. If there is a 3rd option I'm currently unaware of it. One chip per customer unless otherwise requested. All 50 are curr...

Re: Dreamcast BIOS chips
I'm waiting on accepting any payments until after the chips are in my hands. I don't know the exact weight and I'd prefer not to overcharge for shipping as I can't afford to take a hit on my personal bank account and undercharge. For all I know I've been shipped a box of bricks. Mainly it boils down...

Re: Dreamcast BIOS chips
Truth be told I don't know exactly how much things are going to cost quite yet. I prefer for payment to wait until after the chips are in my hands for a couple of reasons but top of the list that if something unfortunate happens I don't have to run around issuing upwards of 15 refunds. But for you, ...

Re: Dreamcast BIOS chips
My supplier said they will ship "today". Given right now it is 2:05am in China it is tomorrow for them I suppose.

Re: Dreamcast BIOS chips
At the moment a guaranteed $2.70 per chip minimum. I haven't gotten the chips yet (the supplier claims they will be out soon) but as soon as I do I can collect zip codes to estimate shipping costs.

I'd suggest 30AWG wire if possible. I've seen IDE cables used sucessfully as a ribbon in VGA mods - though if you do that I heavily suggest you use every other wire as a ground to eliminate possible crosstalk.

Dreamcast BIOS chips
I've placed an order with a Chinese supplier for MX29LV160-90TMC chips. These are piggybacked upon the Dreamcast's mask rom containing the retail BIOS and allow you to flash using this: http://www.dc-swat.ru/blog/dreamshell/20.html A replacement BIOS of your choice. Currently that choice is between ...

Re: Internal Memory + VGA questions
Thanx for the link and tidbit of info; what's more interesting, is from the "some english" that's on the page, it seems you can actually rip a GD-ROM to a SD card, which would've come in handy years ago (or still if you could get it to read the games from the SD card). An idea just struck my brain ...

DC modchip code?
Does anyone know where I can grab the code to program to a chip to make a DC modchip? Yes I know, the chip only works on imports and there is a patching app along with boot disks but you know what? I want to put a modchip in mine. So there! If anyone can point me in the right direction I'll gladly c...

Generic component circuit
What I'm looking to do is take whatever is available and have component outputted. I'd love to use RGB but being this is America I'd have a hard time finding a large TV that will accept it. I have found stand alone component encoders but they're upwards of $70. I've seen a few websites offer the mod...

Transistors...
Theres a couple of consoles I want to mod for svideo and composite, most of the mods call for 2N4401-ND transistors and I'm fresh out. I've got a 15 pack of 2n3906, would they be suitable?
