Re: 7" LCD
Does it have to be 7"? Try searching eBay for 7" TFT or 7" Backup monitor. Well, it isn't 100% set in stone that I NEED a 7" but it is preferable. Thanks for the suggestion, didn't know they made backup monitors bigger then 5.6" Found some for ~$50-60usd. Slightly more than I wanted, but not terrib...

7" LCD
Ok, so after over a year of not working on portables, I really want to get back into it. I am working on a Gamecube, but I need a 7" screen, the PS One Screen won't work. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: Coby 7" TFT Pinout - Need help with wiring
BUMP I really need to know if this screen will work; I'm trying to use it for a DOL-001 Gamecube I know the pinout for the A/V, so I know the Y/C pins, and audio, but I just don't know what voltage to hook up to the screen. Do I just run a 5v line to the screen? What are the 3.3v lines for? What are...

Re: Coby 7" TFT Pinout - Need help with wiring
I see S-video in (Y/C), and speaker amp outputs (SPL, SPR) An I2C bus probably for setting picture control and audio volume. I'm guessing this board has the lcd driver on it. I'm not sure what an lcd driver is, but.... There is a separate board that the screen is wired to (I think that is what you ...

STILL NEED HELP! - Coby 7" TFT Pinout - STILL NEED HELP!
Hi all. I recently obtained a Coby portable DVD player. The drive was shot, but the screen works. I got the pinout for what the motherboard sends to (or receives from) the screen board. I am wondering how (if I even can at all) I would wire this up. I really don't know all that much about screens, j...

Re: GC Portable : Worklogs - Small Update 2/25
@Ashen: Hey, thanks, didn't see that! I checked out his Wiiboy worklog. The issue still is that I don't know how to shrink the wii dd that small and mod it to be non-slot load. (And I just thought it would be much cheaper with a laptop drive, since we can get those for like $10, and it would be just...

Re: GC Portable : Worklogs - Small Update 2/25
@Ashen: I already found your post (and other's) about the pinout info for the DVD drive board , but I was looking more for the DVD drive itself, the copper-ish color flat-wire, the part that comes off the lens. I, like many others, am looking to use a smaller dd. I don't want to run roms, nor use a ...

Re: GC Portable : Worklogs
Although I am sure others have done so as well, I emailed Nintendo to see if they would provide us with pinout information. No such luck. Hello, Thank you for taking the time to email Nintendo of America. While we would like to be able to assist you, we are not able to provide you with the informati...

Re: GC Portable : Worklogs
I would like it to be 1.5" - 2" I am not entirely sure. To be honest, I haven't measured it all out, for all I know, it is that thin as it is :) But, since the drive by itself is like 1.25" I don't think I'll be hitting my 1.5" mark. [Edit] After quick measurement, I think the best I can do is just ...

F550 Batteries
Ok, I know there is a battery section, but this seemed more appropriate a place to ask. I used a Sony F550 battery for my portable and I just want to be sure of something. When it is fully charged, will it stop charging, like so it won't explode? (which is what the pcb is for...) Kind of a silly que...
