Re: Guess what...Another PS2p
I opened the PS1 controller that I am going to use and it is really weird. On the main board for the buttons there are the lines leading from where the buttons are and then end at a green dot. Then on the other side they start at the green dot and lead to some Sony chip. I don't even see any ground ...

Re: Guess what...Another PS2p
I mean have the screen inside the portable system that you can run from. Then if you wanted to hook it up to a tv you can also do that. Like you can flip a switch to switch between the ps1 screen and the tv.argelfraster wrote:yes.
Just hook up your screen directly to the motherboard.

Guess what...Another PS2p
I am going to make my case out of a Fat PS2 case, cut up. With some components from the Slim case. I am also going to have a 2nd player port. Anyways I had a question. Is there a way to be able to have the portable screen but then be able to also output it to an external source like a tv. Much like ...

Re: Ripped laser ribbon on PS2
I think thats the procedure. However I ripped my Power/Eject cable on a fat PS2 and ordered a replacement part; it was significantly longer then the original and much stronger due to being 'laminated' in white. Thus if a repair job fails, replacement parts may be better then the originals; speaking...

Re: Ripped laser ribbon on PS2
Dont quote me on it but I've read they can possibly be repaired by taping them back together, but I think thats just in the case of them fraying, not a total rip that results in the cable in two parts. Thanks, I'll give it a try. Maybe I can try and expose both sides of the wires and then tape them...

Ripped laser ribbon on PS2/Cut controller in half
Is there a way to repair this or should I just get a new one? Is the ribbon on the Fat PS2 the same as on the Slim?
On a new question, If I cut a playstation controller in half do a just use
regular wire to wire it to the ps2 board?

Re: PS2-Please Help!
I just fixed a slim that when it would try and read the disk it would make a loud sound while spinning. All I did was tighten the screws inside and it worked like new.

Re: Classified as "Ultra-Rare" 2600a??
Ok, so I think I am just going to hold on and wait until I find a different one. I found my 2600a at the thrift store for $9.00. I love it when people don't know what stuff is worth! I got a Tandy 102 at a thrift store for $5, when one in similar condition is $35 on eBay! :) Me too! I know wh...

Re: Classified as "Ultra-Rare" 2600a??
So I was going to do the composite mod on my atari 2600a. Should I not do this or since it's not mint it wouldn't hurt? Even in heavily used one of these promo atari 2600a consoles in good condition can fetch $100 at auction, mint $200+ So I wouldn't, you can get a populated 2600a motherboard...

Re: Classified as "Ultra-Rare" 2600a??
I have one that says the same thing on the bottom of it. Also where there should be a sticker says specifications and such there isn't one. I assumed this was just a floor model at a store, am I wrong?

Can you help me out with it at all. The help to only explains doing it to one RCA. Do I just split off of the 206/208 junction?Life of Brian wrote:Yupdmbinbluwatr wrote:On the Atari 2600 4 switch, is there a way to split the audio to the left and right channels?

On the Atari 2600 4 switch, is there a way to split the audio to the left and right channels? Also I can't find any 1-k potentiometers, Radioshack only has 5-k and up?
